What was the highlight of Tia Mers Guest House

Cheap and convenient, but staff is weird

The bedroom was very spacious, with aircon and fan, bathroom was ok too, everything was clean.

The staff lady didn't seems to understand our English, on two occasions I repeated clearly my request, and she replied clearly 'yes ma'am', but later on we realized she didn't understand. The breakfast was very bad too, it's better not to offer breakfast. Also one person (neighbour or member of staff?) offered my husband to smoke weed, and wanted to bring him to a chicken fight.

Cheap pension but it include very good breakfast (silog varieties and coffee), free shuttle going to airport, good water pressure and heater, nice AC, helpful staff, free wifi, cable tv, private cr, spacious room, clean and comfortable beds, quiet environment - All of these cost us 1,680php for 2 nights (Superior double - 1 queen bed and one single). What more can I ask for? Just a tip: This guesthouse is 6-8 minute walk from the main road (which it makes so quiet environment), so if you're not into walking especially at night (when you need to go for dinner), you better get a tricycle or think twice. But for me, this is a great pick.

The room was clean and the staff was also great

The availability of the food is limited, they offer free breakfast which is good but they don’t offer/sell lunch or dinner available for customers inside the guest house. I was expecting a restaurant or anything that would cater the need of the guest for food after breakfast just in case we don’t want to go out. I had a hard time during dinner since I need to go out and find a place to eat. I had to walk few KM to reach the nearest food stand and the road is a bit dark and scary. Also the door lock is sometimes difficult to open, the double lock is not working.

The staff were helpful and accomodating and even helped us...

The staff were helpful and accomodating and even helped us book transportation to the airport which would have been hard to get considering our early flight. Cash payments prior to departure made the stay easy without scams. It is close to Robinsons mall and transportation is easy to get by walking to the main road. The breakfast was delicious and well portioned. The environment felt cosy and comfortable. Certainly value for money.

We stayed in the Cottage which could have had more love. Insects and lizards come freely into the Cottage through the door gap and the aircon and the curtains lack privacy. The heated shower was broken and the shower head was dirty and the shower curtains moldy. One time there was dog pee all over the door. The cabinets were also broken. You may fare better with the rooms.

Perfect!

The house is perfect. Rooms are clean, big, and with hot water and WiFi. They drive us to the airport for free. We run out of money and they borrowed us some pesos, really nice personal. Thanks for everything we definitely would like to come back!

Excellent place to stay for a vacation. you can relax since the place is quiet particularly at night

what i liked the most are the staff. very accommodating and friendly. rooms are clean. a quiet place a good wifi connection They are offering massage for you to relax and cost is very reasonable. breakfast is good and they serve on time. accessible to stores if you want to but things or food. Near Robinsons Mall i would like to go back here when i visit again Palawan.

- nice surrounding inside the property

- nice surrounding inside the property - breakfast (with toast and not rice)

- airport shuttle should be included in the price however even if we contacted the property twice we did not get any answer from them and there was nobody waiting for us in the airport
